"The boyfriend goes into the store and starts shooting," one source said.
Chicago Police Chief of Patrol Eugene Williams said the man and woman were found in a restricted area open only to employees.
He said the woman worked at the store.
A patrol car was cruising past the store around 11 a.m. when employees streamed out and flagged down officers, saying there had been a shooting inside.
Police found the man and women, both in their 20s, dead in the basement. They believe the man walked in with a gun, he said.
"Right now we are looking into the possibility that there was some relationship between them,'' Williams said.
