Chicago - State Rep. Deborah Mell, sister of Patti Blagojevich and daughter of Ald. Dick Mell (33rd), announced on Chicago Tonight Tuesday that she is engaged to her partner of five and a half years, Christin Baker, national director of arts and humanities for YMCA USA.
Mell said she would announce it on the floor of the State House Wednesday afternoon in order to call attention to the issue of gay marriage in Illinois.
