Dwyane Wade Sr. / ProPops Foundation to host first annual Celebrity Basketball Game Saturday, May 1st at Richards High School, Oak Lawn, Illinois.
 
April 19, 2010 - ProPops Foundation, Inc. (PPF) is proud to announce its first annual Celebrity Basketball Game which will take place Saturday, May 1st at Richards High School beginning at 3pm.
 
The afternoon will include food for purchase, celeb pics for purchase, cash raffles, halftime show, and a forty-eight minute regulated basketball game with special guests - Chicago's very own Leon Rogers and Tony Sculfield of 107.5 WGCI; Former NBA player Jeff Sanders of Chicago Bulls; Current CBA players - Tracy Robinson and Anthony Newell; Former CBA player of 14 years Johnny Branch; NFL player Napoleon Harris of the Oakland Raiders; Fathers of NBA players, Dwyane Wade Sr. (Dwyane Wade of Miami Heat), Michael Beasley Sr. (Michael Beasley of Miami Heat), Leon Howard (Juwan Howard of Portland Trailblazers), Dennis Heats (Former NBA player Antoine Walker); Added guest - Angela Martin former American Idol contestant to sing national anthem.
 
The purpose of this event is to bring awareness to the crime and violence in our Chicagoland communities. "We as Fathers must do our part in instructing positiveness in our children" according to Dwyane Wade Sr.  By having this event were able to connect with more fathers and mothers in hope to help regain more love and respect from our children.
 
PPF was founded in 2008 with a mission to provide life skills and coping mechanisms to men, women, boys, and girls with special emphasis placed on career/vocational selection, and placement in the area of education.  The proceeds from this event will allow for additonal camps and mentoring programs.
