The students circled in front of the building at 125 S. Clark St. chanting slogans and carrying signs. "Education is not a corporation," read one placard. Some handed out fliers that protested cuts to early-childhood education, bilingual programs, sports and after-school programs.
"CPS can't ruin our education and expect us to do nothing," said Walesha Rivera, 15, a sophomore at Roberto Clemente Community Academy in Logan Square.
